Description: The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) presents this site covering the principles and standards for mathematics. Although some material on the site is only available for purchase or as a NCTM member, there is still quite a bit available for free. On the home page visitors can click on "Online Access" under Math Standards and view a bullet pointed list of math standards and expectations by K-12 grade band. Also available on the site is information about upcoming conferences, news and research updates, as well as how to become a member. Perhaps most useful is the tab "Lessons and Resources", where visitors can find journal articles, lessons and activities, teaching tips, and other useful tools.
